Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance

The Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program is available for eligible households experiencing eviction. To qualify, you must have a current court summons called a Forcible Entry and Detainer. If you have a court summons, please contact the CARE center to explore options. If you do not have a Forcible Entry and Detainer, you may qualify for the Temporary Rental Assistance Grant initiative.

Connect With Support

To connect with a representative from the Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program, call or text 1-888-480-0066 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time, and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Additionally, individuals facing homelessness or eviction can get immediate help by calling 211 or visiting 211 Colorado. While the Division of Housing doesn't provide immediate aid, they are able to connect people with emergency shelter, food, rental assistance, healthcare, and more.

Important Notes

  • Submitting an application prior to the deadline does not guarantee payment, but submitted applications that are currently being reviewed will continue to be processed until all program funds have been awarded and disbursed.
  • As funding for this federal program is phasing out nationwide, DOLA will continue with eviction diversion efforts, including prioritizing imminent eviction cases and connecting tenants to legal services.
